BRUTTIUM. Lokroi Epizephyrioi. Circa 400-350 BC. Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.61 g, 6 h). Λ-Ο-Κ-Ρ-Ω-Ν Laureate head of Zeus to left. Rev. Eagle standing left with spread wings, tearing at a dead hare held in its talons. HN III 2319. SNG Ashmolean 1558 (same dies). Beautifully toned and with a fine Classical head of Zeus. Nearly extremely fine.
