BYZANTINE. Baptism pendant, circa 12th-14th century. (Bronze, 20x24 mm, 3.65 g, 12 h). Nimbate facing bust of Christ, raising right hand in benediction and holding Gospels in left; IC? and XP in two roundels above. Rev. IC - XC / NI - KA Cross; behind the arms, a spear and the Holy Sponge set on a reed. Some earthen deposits and loop broken in antiquity, otherwise, very fine.
