Michael VIII Palaeologus, 1261-1282. Trachy (Bronze, 27 mm, 1.90 g, 6 h), Thessalonica. Bust of Saint George facing, holding in right hand spear across chest, and shield on left arm. Rev. Michael seated facing on throne, holding labarum in right hand and akakia in left. DOC 165. SB 2302. Nearly fine.
