MYSIA. Lampsakos. Circa 500-450 BC. Drachm (Silver, 24 mm, 4.61 g, 3 h). Janiform female head, with circular earring. Rev. Helmeted head of Athena to left within a shallow incuse square. Baldwin, Lampsakos pl. V, 13. SNG Paris 1124. Of exquisite and rigorous Archaic style. Obverse struck slightly off-center and with slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, extremely fine.
