THESSALY. Pelinna . Circa 425-350 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 15 mm, 2.10 g, 10 h). Helmeted horseman to right, raising spear to strike fallen warrior who is trying to protect himself with a shield. Rev. ΠEΛIN-NA Warrior striding left, wearing petasos and dressed in short tunic, preparing to hurl spear. BCD Thessaly II 530.2 var. (inscription). A nice example with clear surfaces and a attractive, glossy, brown patina. Good very fine.
