Description

Thessaly. Pelinna. Circa 425-350 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 15 mm, 1.30 g, 4 h). Rider galloping to left, holding two spears in his right hand and with his petasos hanging from a cord behind his back. Rev. ΠΕ - ΛΙ - Ν Warrior charging to left, holding spear in his raised right hand and round shield in his left. BCD II, 514. SNG Copenhagen 185. Well-struck and clear. Some slight porosity, otherwise, nearly extremely fine. From a European collection formed prior to 2005.
