Description

Sicily. Ameselon. Circa 357-340 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 16 mm, 4.16 g, 4 h). Horse galloping left. Rev. Eagle flying to left, with spread wings, holding serpent in its talons. Calciati III pg. 336, 6. Very rare. With an attractive, dark, glossy green patina. Very fine. From a European collection, acquired before 2005.
