MACEDON. Koinon of Macedon . Pseudo-autonomous issue, temp Gordian III, AD 238-244. (Bronze, 26 mm, 11.70 g, 7 h), Beroea. AΛEΞANΔPOY Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right. Rev. KOINON MAKEΔONΩN B NE Athena seated left, holding Nike to right and spear; shield behind. AMNG 536. Well struck, nicely patinated. Nearly very fine.
