Description

THESSALY. Larissa . Late 4th-3rd centuries BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.89 g, 10 h). Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly left, with grain ears in her hair, wearing earring and necklace. Rev. ΛAPIΣAIΩN Rider, holding lance and wearing Boeotian helmet, on horseback to right; below, M. BCD Thessaly II 393.6. Rogers 286. Dark green patina; well centered. Good very fine.
From a European collection formed before 2010.
