Description

Claudius, 41-54. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.81 g, 4 h), Rome, 51-52. TI CLAVD CAESAR AVG P M TR P XI IMP P P COS V Laureate head of Claudius to right. Rev. PACI AVGVSTAE Pax-Nemesis standing right, holding fold of drapery up to her chin with her right hand, and a winged caduceus, pointing downwards at erect snake, in her left. Cohen 68. BMC 69. RIC 62. Well centered, clear and toned. Very fine.
