Description

Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 34 mm, 24.95 g, 9 h), under the moneyer Ti. Sempronius Graccus, Rome, 17 BC. OB / CIVIS / SERVATOS in three lines above, within and below an oak wreath flanked by two laurel branches. Rev. TI SEMPRONIVS GRACCVS IIIVIR AAAFF around large S.C. BMC 198. BN 319. Cohen 524. Mazzini pl. XXV, 524 ( this coin ). RIC 348. Attractive, smooth, dark brown-green patina. Very fine.
