Bearded warrior, nude but for a high bonnet, riding to right on a galloping horse; holding spear in his upraised right hand and the reins in his left. Rev. CΕ - Λ-Α Forepart of the man-headed bull Acheloös to right. BMFA 241 = Warren 227 ( same dies ). Jenkins, Gela Group Ib, 28.62 (O9/R11, this coin ). Kraay & Hirmer 156 ( same dies ). A pleasingly sharp example, attractively toned. Minor uncleaned deposits and some very slightly roughness, otherwise, extremely fine.
