OA/ ΓP,/ΓO/P - O/ ΘE/O/ΛO/ΓO/S Nimbate bust of St. Gregorios the Theologos, in clerical attire, holding Book of Gospels in his left hand and raising his right hand in benediction; above, circular inscription with the invocation: +ΘKΕ BOHΘEI TΩ C ΔΟΥΛΩ. Rev. KE BΘ/ΛΕΟΝΤΙ/ Α CΠΑΘ ΕΠΙ Τ/ ΧΡΓΚΛ ΚΡΙ/Τ ΕΠΙ T, IΠ/Δ S EΞΑ/KT,P in seven lines of very abbreviated text; the whole within plain dotted border. Apparently unique, and with no other example known to the cataloguer!. A nicely preserved seal of a high-ranking officer. Stuck slightly off-centre, otherwise, very fine.
