Description
THRACE. Maroneia. Circa 168/7-48/5 BC. (Bronze, 19 mm, 8.51 g, 1 h). Head of bearded Herakles to right, club behind neck. Rev. ΜΑΡΩ/ΝΙΤΩΝ Bridled horse galloping right; above, monogram. HGC 3.2, 1542. Schönert-Geiss 1684-7. Green patina. Light corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
