Description

CAMPANIA. Cumae . Circa 420-385 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 7.21 g, 3 h). Head of a nymph to right. Rev. Κ[VΜ]ΑΙΟ[Ν] Mussel shell and barley grain. HN III 532. Rutter 149. Toned and clear. Good fine.
From the collection of W.F. Stoecklin, Amriswil, Switzerland, acquired in the early 1950s from the estate of the late Dr. Naegeli of Zürich (died in 1951) .
