Faustina Junior, Augusta, 147-175. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 7.31 g, 5 h), struck under Marcus Aurelius, Rome, 161-164. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA Draped bust of Faustina Junior to right, her hair pulled back in waved bands and fastened in a low bun at the back of her head. Rev. HILARITAS Hilaritas standing left, holding long palm branch with her right hand and cornucopia with her left. Biaggi 929. BMC 98. Calicó 2057. MIR 18, 15-2(b). RIC 684. Sharp, attractive and with a fine portrait. Minor deposit on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
