KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 4.24 g, 11 h), Chios, circa 290-275 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; in left field, monogram above grape bunch. Price 2318. Well-struck on a broad flan. About extremely fine.
