ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on backless throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, vertical thunderbolt; below throne, Π•. Ehrhardt, Amphipolis 10. HGC 991 (Kassander). Price 138. Troxell L9. A very rare variety - unillustrated in Price - and with only two examples known to Troxell. Struck in high relief, of very good style, and nicely toned. Extremely fine.
