CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. 2nd century BC. Stater (Electrum, 22 mm, 6.78 g, 10 h). Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Deconstructed charioteer driving biga to left; below, two superimposed parallel lines with pellets at their ends; to left, triangle. Allen, SNR 53, pl. 11, 67-68. Castelin -. Flesche -. HMZ 1.8. A very rare type. Well-centered and struck on a broad flan. About very fine.
