Description
ACHAIA, Achaian League. Kleonai. Circa 191-146 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 20 mm, 4.48 g, 6 h), struck under the magistrate, Agaios. AΓAIOΣ Zeus, nude, standing left, holding Nike in right hand and long scepter in left. Rev. ΑΧΑΙΩΝ ΚΛΕΩΝΑΙΩΝ Achaia seated left, holding wreath in right and long scepter in left. BCD Peloponnesos 1325. Clerk 44. Warren 396. Rare. Dark brown patina. Porous, otherwise, nearly fine.
