PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 85-65 BC. (Bronze, 21.5 mm, 8.08 g, 12 h). Head of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. ΑΜΙΣΟΥ Cista mystic with a panther's skin and a thyrsos; in field to left, monogram. HGC 7, 243. SNG BM Black Sea 1202-4. Green and brown patina with earthen highlights. Very fine.
