Valens, 364-378. Miliarense (Silver, 26mm, 4.33 g 12), Trier, 367-375. D N VALEN-S P F AVG Draped and cuirassed bust of Valens to right, wearing pearl diadem. Rev. VIRTVS EXERCITVS / TRPS. Emperor standing facing, in military dress and with his head turned to left, holding labarum in his right hand and resting left on a shield by his side. Cohen 71. RIC 26b.2. Attractive and lightly toned. Some scratches and a very light flan crack, otherwise , extremely fine.
