KYRENAICA, Kyrene. Circa 500-480 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13mm, 4.26 g). Two silphium fruits (seed pods?) back to back. Rev. Silphium fruit (seed pod?) within incuse square. BMC 18. SNG Copenhagen 1165. Very rare. Uncleaned as found and with deposits of horn silver, otherwise , good very fine.
