Description

IONIA, Smyrna. Circa 155-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30mm, 16.48 g 12). Turreted head of the Tyche of Smyrna to right. Rev. ΖΜΥΡ / ΝΑΙΩΝ in two lines within an oak wreath; below inscription, monogram. BMC 4 var. Milne p. 274, 2. SNG von Aulock 2161. An attractive piece struck on a broad flan. Nearly extremely fine.
