Description

CORINTHIA, Corinth. Circa 375-300 BC. Stater (Silver, 21mm, 8.52 g 9). Ϙ Pegasos flying left with straight wings. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to left, wearing pearl necklace and Corinthian helmet with leather neck guard; to left, Ι; to right, behind head, rooster standing left on club. BCD 113. BMC 351. Pegasi 423. Ratto 1032. An attractive, lustrous example. Some flatness on Pegasos and some marks in the obverse fields, otherwise , good extremely fine.
