Description

EUBOIA, Euboian League. Circa 357-338 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13mm, 1.84 g 11). Head of the nymph Euboia to right, her hair rolled into a bun at the back of her head, wearing an earring in the form of a bunch of grapes and a pearl necklace; behind head, Ε. Rev. ΕΥ Head and neck of a cow to right, head facing and adorned with a fillet. BCD 31 ( this coin ). Wallace 144 b (O LXVI/ R 77, this coin ). Very rare. Nicely toned and of pretty style. Nearly extremely fine.
