Description

Boeotia, Thebes. Circa 480-460 BC. Stater (Silver, 16mm, 11.87 g). Boeotian shield with rim divided into eight compartments. Rev. Incuse square with anticlockwise mill-sail pattern; at the center, q . BCD Boiotia 350 ( this coin ). SNG Berry 552. SNG Delepierre 1344. Attractively toned, the finest known example of this type. Extremely fine.
