KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. Quarter stater (Gold, 11mm, 2.16 g 1), ‘Amphipolis’, uncertain mint in Macedonia, c. 330-320 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with serpent. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Thunderbolt, bow and club. Price 165. Attractive and well-struck. Extremely fine.
