Description

BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 530-500 BC. Drachm or Third Stater (Silver, 15mm, 2.72 g 12). ϘΡΟ Tripod with three handles, ornamental volutes in the form of pellets below the bowl and legs ending in lions’ paws; to right, crane standing to left; border of dots. Rev. As the obverse but incuse and without the crane; rayed border. HN 2083. SNG Copenhagen 1757. Scarce. Nicely struck and with a dark patina as found. About extremely fine.
