Bearded head of Silenos facing, with wild locks of hair and two animal ears; in the lower left field, bunch of grapes; all within a square linear frame in a shallow incuse square. Bodenstedt 90 (dies -/γ). A very attractive, nicely toned and pleasing piece, with heads of Dionysos and Silenos of the finest late Classical style; rare with the bunch of grapes on the reverse.
