ΤΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos, nude, riding dolphin to right, holding arrow in his right hand and bow in his left; below right, elephant. HN III 1000. Vlasto 737 ( same dies ). Very fine.

The magistrate Di... also normally signs the reverse die of this issue (cf. Vlasto 732-6), but there are a few dies - such as the present coin - where for an unknown reason his signature is omitted.
