Constantine I, 307/310-337. Solidus (Gold, 18 mm, 4.53 g), Treveri (Trier), 1st officina, July 310. CONSTANTI-NVS P F AVG Laureate head of Constantine I to right. Rev. PRINCIPI • IV-VENTVTIS / PTR Emperor standing facing, in military dress and turned slightly to left, holding globe in his extended left hand and spear with his right. Biaggi 1988. Calicó 5185b. Cohen 412. Depeyrot 15/7. RIC VI 814. The reverse type is unusual for an Emperor since it is more commonly used for Caesars. Some marks and with an x graffito on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
