CRETE. Hierapytna. Circa 200-67 BC. Didrachm (23 mm, 7.48 g, 1 h). Turreted head of Tyche to right. Rev. ΙΕΡΑΠΥ ΝΕΩΝ ( sic! ) Eagle with spread wings walking to right; before him, palm tree; in field to right, horizontal Σ with its point upwards above Τ; all within olive wreath. Svoronos 26. A very well-struck and attractive example, nicely toned. About extremely fine.
