CARTHAGE. Circa 350-320 BC. Stater (Gold, 20 mm, 9.47 g, 8 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing triple pendant earring, necklace, tied at the back and hung with eight pendants, and a wreath of grain leaves. Rev. Horse standing to right; in field to right, before horse's forehooves, three pellets arranged as a triangle with point to left. Jenkins & Lewis Group IIIg, but these dies apparently unrecorded. Attractively toned and sharply struck. Minor die breaks and marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
