Description

SICILY. Akragas. Circa 415-406 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 30 mm, 20.77 g, 3 h). AKPA Eagle right, clutching dead hare in its talons; to right, leaf. Rev. Crab; below, hippocamp swimming to left; six pellets in the fields. Calciati 17A (same dies). HGC 2, 136. Westermark, 775 (dies O13/R2). Well-struck, clear and with an attractive green patina. Some minor marks, scratches and a flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
