SICILY. Akragas. Circa 495-485 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 9.07 g, 9 h). ΑΚRΑ Eagle standing left with closed wings. Rev. Crab within a circular incuse. BMFA 227 (same dies). Westermark 103.1 (this coin, dies O43/R64). Very attractively toned and with a particularly bold reverse. Minor traces of corrosion and remains of deposits, otherwise, about extremely fine.
