Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with Skylla hurling a stone to right. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting to right, his head lowered; in exergue, ΣIM. Hess-Leu [1], 1954, 36 (same reverse die). HN III 1844. SNG ANS 1097 var. A rare variety, nicely toned. Obverse struck from a slightly worn die and with some remaining deposits, otherwise, about extremely fine.
