ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 411-340 BC. Hemidrachm or diobol(?) (Silver, 13.5 mm, 1.11 g, 11 h). Janiform head of Silenos, each bearded, bald-headed and with an animal ear. Rev. Θ-Α-Σ-Ι Two volute kraters shown vertically in a tête-bêche position; all within an incuse square. HGC 6, 348. Le Rider, Thasiennes 25. Nicely toned and attractive. Good very fine.
