THRACE. Abdera. Circa 395-360 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15.5 mm, 2.32 g, 1 h), struck under the magistrate Molpagores. Griffin springing left with both forelegs raised. Rev. Head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and with berries clustered tight above the brown; ΜOΛ-ΠΑ-ΓΟ-ΡΗΣ around linear frame. May, Abdera 409 (A284/P332). Lightly toned. A few light scratches and small area of die rust on reverse, otherwise, very fine.
