Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Obol (Silver, 9.5 mm, 0.71 g, 1 h), struck under Philip III Arrhidaios, Amphipolis, circa 320-317. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion’s skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞA-NΔPOY Thunderbolt. Price 157. SNG Copenhagen 696. Troxell, Studies, issue E. Rare. Clear and unusually nice. About extremely fine.

From an English collection, ex Roma 6, 29 September 2013, 546 (there disfigured by then uncleaned deposits).
