Kings of Thrace
Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.29 g, 12 h), Abydos, 299/8-297/6. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, forepart of lion to left above Μ; below throne, head of griffin to left. Price L20. Thompson 68. A nice clear coin. Nearly extremely fine.
