Sicily
Unlocated Punic Mint, Lilybaion or Entella. 320/315-300 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26.5 mm, 17.18 g, 10 h). Head of Persephone to left, wearing wreath of wheat leaves, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; around her head, four dolphins. Rev. 'MMHNT = People of the Camp. Horse's head to left; behind, date palm. Jenkins, Punic 144 (O46/R130). SNG Ashmolean 2158 (same dies). SNG Lloyd 1630 (same obverse die). Attractively toned and nicely struck. Nearly extremely fine.

From a collection formed in the Ticino prior to 2000.
