Akragas. 406 BC. Dilitron (Gold, 11 mm, 1.33 g, 10 h). ΑΚRΑ Eagle with closed wings perching on rock to left, tearing at serpent; on rock, two pellets. Rev. ΣΙΛΑ -ΝΟΣ (partially retrograde) Crab. Dewing 569-571. Gulbenkian 171. SNG ANS 998-999. SNG Copenhagen 52. Westermark 1011 (O1/R3). A rare, piece, struck just prior to the Carthaginian sack of the city. Minor die faults, other­wise, good very fine.
