Metapontum. Punic occupation, circa 215-207 BC. Half Shekel (Silver, 18 mm, 4.08 g, 10 h), Punic standard. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Grain ear with leaf to right. Well-struck, clear, attractively toned, and rare without the owl on the reverse. Some die marks and with a flan crack, otherwise, good extremely fine.
