Antioch. Trajan Decius, 249-251. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 12.91 g, 10 h), 6th officina (?), 250-251. AVT K Γ ME KY TPAIANOC ΔEKIOC CEB Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Trajan Decius to right; below, ••S. Rev. DHMAPX EΞOYCIAC / SC Eagle standing to left on palm frond, with his wings spread, holding wreath in his beak. McAlee 1126 f var (without pellets before officina letter). Prieur 586 var (without pellets before officina letter). RPC IX 1757 var (without pellets before officina letter). With a rather fierce and staring portrait of Decius. Extremely fine.
