CARIA. Knidos. Circa 500 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 11.5 mm, 1.77 g, 7 h), Milesian standard. Head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Draped bust of Aphrodite to right, wearing pearl necklace; upper right, floral ornament; to right, before chin, lotus; all in a doted border within an incuse square. Cahn 18 (V6/R17, same dies ). Very rare. With a reverse of a rude, archaic, local style. Some surface roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
