Description
KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 10.5 mm, 2.11 g, 9 h), Pella, circa 340/336-328 BC. Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Bow and club, with a kantharos above. Cf.Le Rider 54 ff. Clear. Some scratches on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
