MACEDON. Skione. Circa 490-480 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 16 mm, 2.34 g). ΣKIONAION (retrograde) Forepart of a roaring lion to right, head turned backwards. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Bloesch, Löwen 3–7. HGC 3.1, 685. SNG ANS 719 (as Scithae). Very rare early tetrobol of Skione, priviously attributed to Scithae. A few uncleaned deposits, and slightly porous, otherwise, nearly very fine.
