CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 302-280 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 8.01 g, 4 h), struck under the magistrates Ago.., Kratinos and Xor... KPAT/INOΣ Nude jockey on horse standing right, holding wreath to crown the horse's head; above, AΓΩ. Rev. TΑΡΑΣ/ZOP Phalanthos seated astride dolphin to left, holding kantharos. HN Italy 958. Vlasto 677-8. Clear and attractive. Reverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
