Description
CELTIC, Eastern Celts. Skordoski in Syrmia, Circa 3rd-2nd century BC. Drachm (?) (Silver, 11 mm, 0.95 g, 4 h), imitating Alexander III (obverse) and Philip II (reverse) tetradrachms. Celticized laureate head of Herakles to right. Rev. Horse galloping to left; above, wheel. Dembski -. Flesche -. Göbl OTA -. Lanz -. Cf. Obolos 5 (2016), 46 for a similar example. Extremely rare type. Good very fine.
